Apex Legends Season 11 kicks off next week and the Legends must deal with the arrival of Ash and a whole new map: the tropical island of Storm Point. The new legend Ash joins the fray with a deadly set of abilities designed to seek out and capture unfortunate enemies. Ash, now a legend in Apex Games, is the mock robot first seen in Titanfall 2 and acts as the arena game master in Apex Legends. Continuing the ties from Titanfall, the CAR SMG is also making a return as a hybrid ammo SMG, capable of using both heavy and light rounds. With a brand new map and an interesting weapon, it looks like Apex Legends Season 11 will really shake up the meta and introduce some sweeping changes.apex legends. Apex Legends Season 11 Start Date
Season 11 of Apex Legends, called "Escape", begins next Tuesday, November 2 for all platforms. Ash, CAR SMG, and Storm Point will also be available at the start of the season. Apex Legends seasons typically last around three months, so expect Season 11 to take us all the way to 2022.
Ash is the new Legend in Season 11 of Apex Legends
First introduced to the world of Apex Legends with the Season 5 quest, Ash currently serves as the announcer and guardian behind the Arena mode introduced in Season 9. With Season 11, Ash enters Arenas and Battle Royale to fight. against the other Legends. As with previous Legends, you can purchase Ash for Legend Tokens or Premium Apex Coins when Season 11 begins.
Ash's abilities really make her seem like a relentless huntress on the battlefield, and she really relies on some classic Titanfall 2 abilities that will make her very powerful in the right hands:
- Passive Skill - Marked for Death:Ash's map shows the locations of the final Death Boxes. He then can use the data meter on him in a kill box to briefly reveal the killers as well.
- Tactical Ability – Arc Trap:Throws a slingshot that damages and chains the first enemy that gets too close to activate it
- Ultimate Ability - Phase Interruption:Open a one-way portal to a destination that your allies can also use.
Ash's Tactical Arc Trap ability sounds very similar to the tethering traps the Northstar Titan had in Titanfall 2, only with additional arc damage like Ash's Ronin Titan had. Similarly, his latest, Phase Breach, appears to be a more aggressive but limited version of Wraith's dimensional rift portal. Using his katana-like sword, Ash immediately opens a portal that leads to a target exit portal. Ash will automatically go through his portal, but teammates can also go after Ash. Finally, his passive grants Ash some useful tracking abilities, ensuring that no enemy player can stay hidden forever. Death Boxes have recently appeared on his map, but he can also interact with them to ping the victim's killers on his map, giving Ash players and teammates a good clue to find. more enemies. In terms of his lore, Ash is a somewhat complicated character. While she was first introduced in Titanfall 2, it turns out that her story goes back way before the events of that game, when she was human. Storm Point is the new map for Season 11 of Apex Legends
The Apex Legends Season 11 gameplay trailer officially revealed the new tropical island map as Storm Point. It's roughly 15% larger than World's Edge, making it the largest map in Apex Legends to date, and has tridents like Olympus. It features beaches, jungles, a giant antenna, gravity cannons, and more points of interest. There are large open spaces like the Barometer in the heart of Storm Point and The Antenna, and there are tighter indoor spaces like Shipfall and Command Center. As we saw in the Season 11 launch trailer and now in the gameplay trailer, the wildlife in Storm Point will be a huge threat during matches that can also drop more loot. Legends can disturb nests of Drifters (not the weapon) and Spiders, which are marked on the map and are in the same location each game for additional items and crafting materials. Wanderers are pack animals like wolves, but spiders are agile and attack from afar. Airmen will also fly over the map carrying kill boxes like they do in Kings Canyon.
With an all-new map added in Season 11, World's Edge receiving an update in Season 10, and Olympus seeing some changes in Season 9, there will be no updates to existing maps at the start of the season. Kings Canyon and Olympus will also be completely out of rotation in Season 11 as the focus shifts to Storm Point and the Season 10 World's Edge update, including for Ranked. Also, Arenas now have some custom maps, so the rotation will be removed from all Battle Royale POI maps.
The CAR SMG will be added in Apex Legends Season 11
The CAR SMG made its debut long ago in Titanfall 1 and returns in Apex Legends Season 11. We don't know much about his Apex Legends variant, but the new Season 11 gameplay trailer showed off his hybrid ammo abilities with the weapon. You can use light and heavy ammo, and you can change them at will. It's not clear if you also need to load a fresh magazine after changing ammo types to change the ammo completely, but that's how it's demonstrated in the trailer. In terms of attachments, it looks like the CAR will only need an Extended Heavy Mag, and ammo swapping is an intrinsic ability that doesn't require an Extended or Jump Light Mag.
It is also a high rate of fire SMG (although not as high as the R-99) with low vertical recoil, similar to its Titanfall 1 and 2 incarnations, and a 20-round magazine. In the Titanfall games, the CAR SMG served almost as an assault rifle/SMG hybrid with consistent low recoil and good range for an SMG. In Apex Legends, the weapon's ammo swapping abilities can add additional nuance, as both types of ammo cause the weapon to behave slightly differently. The firing rates with light and heavy bullets appear to be the same in the gameplay trailer, but perhaps the heavy bullets offer more damaging bullets at the cost of more recoil.
Now that the Alternator is included in Care Packs with Disruptor rounds, there's definitely a gap for a new, hard-hitting, well-handling SMG. It should have comparable damage output to the R-301, but be more manageable and have less range since it's an SMG. The fact that it can carry both light and heavy rounds puts it in direct competition with both the R-99 and the Prowler, so it will be interesting to see how the SMG meta evolves with the release of the CAR and other adjustments in the season. . 11 patch hits.
New Apex Legends Season 11 Battle Pass and Ranked Season
A season of Apex Legends wouldn't be complete without a redesigned Battle Pass and another Ranked Season with new rewards. None of the Escape Battle Pass rewards have been properly revealed yet, but it looks like the Mirage will get a Legendary skin with Season 11, and the Prowler will get this season's Reactive Weapon skin, as seen in the new gameplay trailer. He too expect weapon and legend skins, weapon charms, and other cosmetic items with a tropical paradise and beach theme. The demand for swimsuit skins in Apex Legends has become something of a meme of late, but it looks like the Season 11 Battle Pass might answer some of those requests.
