Spring has come to Aeternum, and with it a new seasonal event. This guide breaks down everything you need to know about the Springtide Bloom event in the New World.
The Springtide Bloom event began on April 25 with the release of update 1.9.2 and will end on May 23.
How to participate in Springtide Bloom
Springtide Bloom is similar to Winter Convergence Festival, in that you must visit Springtide Village to start the event and its associated mini-quests.
Conveniently, these towns also exist in the same locations you're used to from the Winter Convergence Festival. This means that you can find them in Monarch's Bluff, Everfall, Brightwood, and Weaver's Fen.
When you get to Springtide Village, talk to the NPC in the middle of the village to start the Springtide Bloom event.
How to Complete Springtide Bloom Quest
This short quest chain teaches you the basics of the event, including how to make an extra Wispy Spritz and how to fill Wispybloom Fields.
Make the Wispy Spritz
The first part of this short quest asks you to make a Wispy Spritz. To do this, you will need to go to the Wispy Spritz station located in Springtide Village.
Here you will have access to the Wispy Spritz recipe. Each ability requires 10x Fiber, 3x Honey and Fire Beads and produces 8 Wispy Spritz.
With the Wispy Spritz created, head back to the Bloom Herald to complete the quest.
Doing so will result in the following rewards: 250 Event Reputation, 1 Spring Token, 2060 XP Tokens, 68.75 Coins, 175 Territory Status, and 10 Nitrogen.
Complete the field Wispybloom
The second and final step of this quest requires you to complete the Wispybloom Field. We'll have details on the best ways to find and complete the Wispybloom Fields in the next section of this guide detailing the activities of this event.
In addition to the Wispybloom Field reward, turning in the quest will give you additional rewards. These rewards consist of 250 Event Reputation, 1x Premium Spring Token, 2060 XP Tokens, 68.75 Coins, 175 Territory Status, and 10 Azoth.
Between Wispybloom Field and these two quests, this should take you directly into Shepard's rank for the Event Shop, giving you instant access to basic patterns and some unique colors. The full event store rewards are listed later in this guide.
Spring Bloom Activities
The Springtide Bloom event has two main components, Joyous Gift Piles and Wispybloom Fields. Primate Flowers are also upgraded during this event and provide additional items and rewards for harvesting them. Additionally, Springtide Villages has an item exchange where you can turn in tokens and other items earned through these activities.
Where to Find Lots of Cheerful Gifts
Cheerful piles of gifts can be found in every major settlement in Aeternum. They're like a bunch of similar event giveaways and reward similar items.
You can generally claim rewards from each Joyful Gift Pile once per Settlement day. Doing so will reward you with a Wispy Spritz and a handful of colors. These colors are drawn from a base of all colors that can be created.
Along with the cheerful piles of gifts, Springtide Villages have their own beautiful goodie bags, which can also be collected on a daily basis.
Occasionally these reward stacks also have a chance to drop event consumables (from the Blossom level in the shop), Diamond Plaster, Springtide Tokens, Gear Tokens, and Coin Bags. However, they are usually awarded with fewer chances compared to the other mentioned items that are usually guaranteed.
How to fill in the Wispybloom fields
The Wispybloom Fields are the main attraction of the event and will provide most of the rewards and tokens you can earn for the event. They are marked on your map and radar if you are within a certain distance of them (usually ~200 meters).
Additionally, they can be located by looking for circular rainbow patterns in the sky. If you see this in the sky, Wispybloom Field is below.
To complete the Wispybloom field, you will need to harvest Wispybloom in the middle of the Wispybloom field. However, this Wispybloom also protects several Wispy Wasps that can only be defeated with a Wispy Spritz.
You will need a handful of Wispy Spritz, usually 3-4 per field. Wispy Spritz can be crafted at the Wispy Spritz Station in Springtide Village or obtained by collecting from Delightful Gift Sacks or Joyous Gift Piles, each of which gives you a small amount.
Using Wispy Spritz, you can set up a zone of AoE damage that detonates after a short time. You will want to group Wispy Wasps together or work with other players to make this process go faster. Usually you will need to use three Wispy Spritz to defeat Wispy Wasp, but you may need to use more if you are not taking damage from them.
The best strategy to mitigate this is to set up a Wispy Spritz when the Wispy Wasps get close to you and move towards the edge of your area. This keeps the axes firmly in the AoE.
Unfortunately, in groups, Wispy Wasps will go after the person closest to the Wispybloom. For wild groups, this can be a problem, as people will think they'll be able to pick the flower, despite taking hits all the time.
Upon defeat, you can harvest a Wispybloom in the middle of the field, granting a handful of Wispybloom Petals and 250 event reputation to everyone in the event area. Defeating Wispy Wasps also has a small chance to reward you with Wispy Wasp Goo.
You can also harvest Wispybloom without defeating the Wispy Wasps by luring them in, then running over to the Wispybloom and collecting it. Although you lose the chance to get Wispy Wasp Goo and thus Premium Springtide Tokens, you can earn more Wispybloom Petals without spending Wispy Spritz.
Wispybloom Fields respawns approximately 10-15 minutes after the previous end time, allowing you to gather resources to craft tiles very quickly.
Improved Prism Flowers
In addition to their normal drops, during the Springtide Bloom event, all Prismablooms will reward you with a Springtide Token upon collecting them.
This can be an additional way to get a bunch of tokens if you can't harvest Wispyblooms without dealing with Wispy Wasps.
Springtide Village Exchange
A feature of Springtide Village is the Ornament Cart, which allows you to exchange your Wispybloom Petals and Wispy Wasp Goo for Springtide tokens. You can also upgrade and downgrade your Springtide tokens. Below is a table summarizing the exchange rates for items and tokens.
exchanged items | items received |
---|---|
5x Wispybloom Petals | 1x jet spring spring tide |
1x Goo de avispa outfit | 1 ficha Premium Springtide |
25 spring tide tokens and 1 vial of suspended nitrogen | 1 ficha Premium Springtide |
1 ficha Premium Springtide | 25 live tide tokens |
Where to get Springtide Bloom event rewards
All Springtide Bloom event rewards are purchased with Springtide Tokens and Springtide Premium Tokens by talking to the Bloom Herald in the center of Springtide Village.
When you talk to him, you will be able to open the Springtide Shop. Like the last store event, this is a minimal faction, which means you'll need to complete the Springtide Bloom Questline to access all the rewards in a timely manner.
This store is divided into three levels; Flower, Shepherd and Herald. Each of these levels grants access to unique items, including cosmetics and gear samples.
What Items Are in the Blossom Tier Springtide Shop
The Blossom level contains only a few items. However, just like previous events, these items increase the number of Blooming Petals you can earn by completing a Blooming field. Unlike the previous events, they are divided into three different types of food: Luck, Event, and Property.
The first is Springtide Drama. This consumable grants up to 5% luck for 25 minutes. The amount of luck this provides scales based on the player's level. Each cost 5 Springtide Tokens
Next up is Springtide Wafer. Consuming this will increase the amount of Wispybloom Petals gained from gathering for 30 minutes. This affects Wispyblooms found in Wispybloom Fields, increasing the amount of petals you get per harvest. This costs 5 Springtide Tokens
Finally, there is Springtide Crumble. This is a pretty basic constitution food, increasing your constitution by 33 for 25 minutes. This also costs 5 Springtide Tokens.
What items are in the Shepard level event shop
The Shepard tier has several colors that are exclusive to the reward shop and the start of the available gear samples.
Dyes exclusive to this shop are Limoncello Dye (a pale greenish-brown color), Royal Azalea Dye (a pale purple color), and Morning Mist Dye (a deep blue color).
Along with the colors, there are also complete sets of Green Armor patterns. These are usually not worth buying unless you are a high level crafter or know someone who is. These are completely random patterns, but they can still be useful crafting tools. At the very least, they'll be worth holding onto to make a cheap Transmog rig later on.

What items are in the herald level event store
The Herald tier is the tier that has all the main rewards for the events you'll be looking for. However, you will need to conquer quite a few fields of Wispybloom, not only to get tokens, but you will also need to reach the final reputation level to gain access to this store.
This section of the shop has two cosmetic items and two emotes that you can pick up. There are also a handful of home decorations here, mostly flower beds and potted flowers, but they also include a banner. There are also pigment bags that give you random pigments to paint with.
Finally, this section of the store has GS 600 Gear Patterns. With the recent meta change in update 1.9, the combination of the default Physical Aversion and Cooldown perk could make them useful for reducing the impact of bow-based PvP builds, like the Ranged Assassin build that was ready to go. Charge from the PvP target to DEX from a distance.
They will surely be in demand, not only because of the possible PvP potential, but also because of the next Transmog system expected later this year.
